Worst bit is when you are already a few hours in and its getting late. You get a mission to enter a dungeon/cavern but you don't know how long you will be down there and how long until you surface and thus go to bed.

Falskaar is what you need if not got, Skyrim cutting room floor mod (bits left out of the game but still in the exe that have been awoken), I've got expanded towns and cities and all 3 repopulation mods from here - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/6370620/?tb=...

Still start it up now and again to keep things up to date and see what's new. I do the same with New Vegas.

Oh and also for Skyrim, Rochester (new land mass not just a city to keep an eye on - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48515/?

When i first played this game, it was on an Intel Core Quad with a GTX8800 Nvidia card.
Now that i have a new PC with a R9 290X and iCore7k processor, would it be worth reinstalled it with the high res DLC? Is there much of a difference between the standard setup and the high res setup?

Those are HD packs, Skyrim Flora, Climates of Tamriel (plus Supreme Storms, Snow etxras) plus ENB settings.

There are many useful little graphics mods as well.

Other HD graphics options - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46925/?
Water - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13268/?
I use Project ENB - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20781/?
Skyrim Flora (not necessary though) - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/?
Lush trees (not the grass if using Flora above, use grass if not) vanilla trees load after Flora is used - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3288/?
Climates of Tamriel - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17802/?
CoT weather patch - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39799/?
CoT realistic sun - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42492/?
CoT expanded snow - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28110/?
CoT Falskaar patch - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38361/? (needs Falskaar of course).
Enhanced lights and FX - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27043/?
Expanded Towns & Cities - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13608/?
Lanterns of Skyrim - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18916/?
Lanterns patch for Expanded towns if used.

Necessary if you haven't got them.
SKSE - http://skse.silverlock.org/
Mod Configutation Menu, part of SkyUI - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?

Those above generally make it all look good. Others are available. smile

Use BOSS to sort the plugin order as well - http://code.google.com/p/better-oblivion-sorting-s...

What spec of pc are you using to run those mods FourWheelDrift? The tree, those leaves... Looks a-ma-zing.

The tree shot isn't mine, it's taken with a different ENB (Opethfedlt v7) that I tried out but the detail levels are the same using HD trees and Skyrim Flora, and other HD vegetation and with depth of field turned on

This one Opethfedlt v7 - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18941/? thought it looked interesting to try.

I have an 8gb 3.4ghz AMD quad core with a 2gb GTX680 OC.

I don't have Skyrim Flora currently installed as it sometimes doesn't match up well with Climates of Tamriel, bright flowers with dark winter/rainy textures. I've got the Lush trees and grass installed instead.

All Skyrim settings maxxed out, AA turned off as I'm using SweetFX's AA post processing with the Project ENB.

Couple of screens I just took, dynamic depth of field used.

Look better in full screen.

PS, that's SkyHD Lite (2k size) as well, not the Full 4k textures. I went with Lite for my old 1gb card and haven't upgraded it smile - Something new to do, downloading 4k textures now.

Just added TreesHD ultra 4k - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3812/?

And took a few more pics while waiting for the cricket to start.

As always click through a couple of times to see full screen on thumbsnap.

One more, this is with Tamriel Reloaded (installed over SkyrimHD) different grass and small flowers - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46925/?

Easy with NMM to install and uninstall mods without losing previous edits.

Pure eye-porn biggrin

What chances the new gen of consoles matching that level of detail? Slim to none I guess (I'm no expert). If I could afford/justify the pc spec I would be sorely tempted!
