Quite new to storefront so I will have a look for it. I am a novice to all things xbox, but not normally a novice to technology!

I meant you're personal cars are nice choices!

Just some advice from a fellow FM noobie. I was using almost all driving aids and automatic and on this track as B class I was getting about 2:02 to 2:04. I switched to Manual (with out clutch for now) and turned off all of the driving aids and after a few laps of 2:10+ (brakes locking, bouncing gears and kicking the arse out every corner) I got it down to 1:56 which I believe is the top 0.5%.

It's worth just getting used to that asap.

Thanks. Just looking through 22b's in the store front at the minute. I am surprised you're times made such a difference. You think anyone here is still on auto? Are you guys quite far through the actual game?

Cheers.

Cheers! smile

Happy with my current collection for the mo, but the Audi needs a mechanical overhaul and a respray. Big bucks I suspect!

I keep getting tempted to replace the Mondeo with a Jag XJR, but resisting temptation ATM! Damn you PH Classifieds!

1:56:9 and then realised as I crossed the line that I must have taken too much kerb on the 2nd corner of the final chicane (was totally clean until then frown), so 1:58:7 it is for now - totally pee'd off at that last lap that it's over to MW2 for a wee bit...

Yes, overall it is.

In the summer, even with a 250 mile drive on a friday evening, it was almost funny how often I unloaded the mondeo, loaded up the MX-5 and then drove it South Wales to Manchester/Sheffield, roof down, via the A483 and B4358. Brilliant! smile Occasionally with the reward of Oulton Park or Cadwell to look forward to!

This thread is just a time trail challenge, but this isn't a bad idea.

I'll set up a room later, B class, this track, 3-4 lap races. Anyone up for it?

I often set faster times in races than I do in hot lapping against my ghost. (Obviously, we'll have to try to avoid drafting, it'll give a dirty lap smile )

1:58.785 in an Audi S5. I think I'm going to call that as my time for the week, I had enough trouble trying to go fasterthan the one freak good lap I had all week in a 69 Fairlady Z, tried a Cayman, 350Z, Toms MR-S... couldn't do it. Beat it in the Audi, job done, I'm off for more season play to get my money back up.

Will do. I'm just having some grub then I'll host a room for a couple of races on this track & class.

BTW, I've not checked, but if/can you turn collisions off, does it mean you get bh time when you draft?

Right, just a little heads up about a cheaper way to do the TT....

You don't have to buy the car or buy any upgrades at all to compete,it can be done for nothing or whatever the storefront tuning set up costs, usually about 10,000.

In the above example,go to storefront and choose the Subaru 22b and choose what class you want.

This will bring up a list of B class tunes to buy. Press X and scroll through to most downloaded tunes which is a good indication of how good they are.

Buy the tune for free,10,000 credits or whatever and save the tune.

Start up Hotlap, choose the 22B from the manufactures list which is free and go to the circuit.

On the circuit screen, before you press A to load it, it will ask you to load/tune the car first so press A and load the tune. It will then tell you the changes to the car i.e. class, weight,hp etc and ok that and away you go.

Costs nothing or a few thousand credits.

Hope that was easy to follow..!!!!!

Cheers Nessie, I had no idea you could apply it to cars you haven't bought.
