Interested to try the 3.0 now after hearing this - if only because then I can see what your idea of slow is ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
I might end up with a whole team of BMWs if I can make it good, that would appeal to me!

I failed to take less than 1 minute and 26 seconds to drive it around Deep Forest, making it roughly 3 seconds slower than the RX8 I was driving before it.
For reference, my choices and Deep Forest lap times:
Alfa GT: 1:25.5
Mazda RX8: 1:23.7
Elise 111R: 1:23.3
Failed to make the cut:
Skyline Sedan 350GT: 1:25.6ish
Z4 3.0 roadster: 1:26.5 or so
147 GTA: 1:26.can't remember, but more commonly over 1:27.

Thanks for the times, Alfa - the GT is hobbling you a bit, no? All mine are at least within a second at Trial Mountain, but it remains to be seen whether my fastest choice is actually quite slow

Ah yeah, I forgot to mention earlier, I won't be able to race in the inter-championship on Wednesday, as the missus just won a pair of tickets to see Jo Brand that night. Best of luck in it!

EDIT: Hope you enjoy the show!

I'll be choosing a car tonight after the interchamp event. I really want it to be the Elise - it's beautiful to drive... if I can only make it more tolerant to more than a few degrees of oversteer. Otherwise my fists of ham and feet of lead will see me spinning regularly in the race.

111R is my fastest so far. However I wont go with it for the very reasons you are giving.
Colin said I wouldn't be able to spin the Megane... but I did.
i give you the "special hat" for doing that Colin said I wouldn't be able to spin the Megane... but I did.

elise'96 is more stable through the corners but slightly slower in straight lines but still pretty damn fast
