GT5 - PHPCC - S5 - New Drivers Welcome
Discussion
the reason why all the cars for each driver have to be the same is the team idea that was implemented in season 2 to allowed each driver to drive several cars throughout the season so if you want your cars to be different colours then will need to reset back to the 1 car for the season.
Trial mountain testing... Still sure on the Impreza...

I know, and I am I just thought it would be a shame if we all had unique colours and then, say, three black NSXs tooling around. Not a big deal at all, but I thought it was a really nice idea when I came into this!
Anyway, Furball, it's clear which of your choices is faster - you've got the NSX miles further off the ground, which automatically makes it the best

what confuses me is i stated this would be happening weeks ago and its only now theres objections. Even though me and furball have both picked orange theres a clear difference between both and i reckon that would be the same for any colour that 2+ people pick
That's because weeks ago was weeks ago, now it's actually upon us lolFartgalen said:
I'm not exactly objecting. Just saying (like Sam) that I thought it was a good idea everyone using different colours. Certainly helps back markers know who's behind them. (So they know if they should let them by, or barge them off )
well the back markers are allowed to stick to their normal line if in any doubt so the car behind then needs to get past cleanlyThat's missing the point, though! As Viper said, no objections, merely discussion.
It's also helpful for backmarkers to take a wide line through a corner, if appropriate when a lead car is approaching fast at entry. Furball was excellent for this at Autumn Ring and it was great to avoid any impedance but yes, it's very much optional.

At the same time we also have to be aware if backmarkers are involved in a race of their own and that their own position isn't compromised while having to get out of a leader's way, but I think that's getting off topic a bit. The colour does certainly help to know who is coming up behind you so you know if you need to let them past or if you're battling them for a place.
