the reason why all the cars for each driver have to be the same is the team idea that was implemented in season 2 to allowed each driver to drive several cars throughout the season so if you want your cars to be different colours then will need to reset back to the 1 car for the season.

well as we've seen so far everyone has their own preferred colour but this way several of the guys dont need to have a colour that isnt their first choice just because someone else already took it

Must admit I liked each driving having their own unique colour so I could tell them instantly.
I agree with this, was easy to see who was lapping me lol

Was anyone troubled about their colours last season? I think we were fine the way we were smile distinction is nice.

We're still free to pick a colour unique from anyone else if that's what we'd prefer to do.

I know, and I am biggrin I just thought it would be a shame if we all had unique colours and then, say, three black NSXs tooling around. Not a big deal at all, but I thought it was a really nice idea when I came into this!

Anyway, Furball, it's clear which of your choices is faster - you've got the NSX miles further off the ground, which automatically makes it the best yes

what confuses me is i stated this would be happening weeks ago and its only now theres objections. Even though me and furball have both picked orange theres a clear difference between both and i reckon that would be the same for any colour that 2+ people pick smile

I don't particularly love orange, I just picked it last season because no one else had and thought I'd keep it simple by having the same this time round.

That's because weeks ago was weeks ago, now it's actually upon us lol

Wow, didn't think I'd spark this kind of response, sorry guys!

I'll use black then in that case.

I'm not exactly objecting. Just saying (like Sam) that I thought it was a good idea everyone using different colours. Certainly helps back markers know who's behind them. (So they know if they should let them by, or barge them off wink )

well the back markers are allowed to stick to their normal line if in any doubt so the car behind then needs to get past cleanly

That's missing the point, though! As Viper said, no objections, merely discussion.

It's also helpful for backmarkers to take a wide line through a corner, if appropriate when a lead car is approaching fast at entry. Furball was excellent for this at Autumn Ring and it was great to avoid any impedance smile but yes, it's very much optional.

At the same time we also have to be aware if backmarkers are involved in a race of their own and that their own position isn't compromised while having to get out of a leader's way, but I think that's getting off topic a bit. The colour does certainly help to know who is coming up behind you so you know if you need to let them past or if you're battling them for a place.

Oh, absolutely smile like I say, helpful but very much optional and if they're in a tight race, all I'd expect is that they don't actively defend! But yeah, off topic already hehe

Impedance - what on Earth are you using such grown up words for. This championship isn't for intellectuals, I'll have you know.

I'll change my colour to pink if Adam wants Black smile. It'll suit one car I'm testing - cant be a near 500PP Nissan Micra...
