Anyone found a decent mod/skin of the new Merc Actros? Fancy getting rid of the 'Majestic' but I'm a bit wary of some of the mod sites and would prefer to go with a tried and tested source
And for anyone who hasn't seen the 'New Actros' yet, here's a link: http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content/unitedking...It's funny how prior to playing ETS2, I wouldn't have thought twice about trucks but now a whole new world of interest has opened up for me! I've even caught myself glancing at a few on the motorway and thinking, "Hmm - I've 'driven' that!"

I'd never heard them on trucks in the UK, but in Australia (where I now live) they seem to be on every truck. There are a lot of US trucks down here though.
Proper Jacobs Brakes may not be sold in the UK. It is an optional extra on US trucks so you tend to find only owner operators willing to pay extra for it. The major transportation companies usually make do with the cheaper manufacturer offerings. BTW I finally figured it out on the game, they call it a "Motor Brake" and it is activated with the B key.
I give up with these oversize trailers....
Stuck at a toll booth. Rear axle hooked over the barrier. Unhitched went round the back and pushed it off. Got to the channel tunnel, game glitches as I don't fit in the space where you reappear.
End up with a lot of damage.
I spend all my time stuck as the AI traffic won't give you an inch.

Things I've learnt about the oversize trailers.
1. They don't fit in the workshop yard when you respawn after running out of fuel.
2. They also don't fit on the Chunnel trains when you respawn which will glitch you into 95% damage.
3. Traffic will drive underneath you and get wedged.
4. Don't hang about at toll booths or your trailer will get hooked over the barrier.
5. Traffic won't give you an inch, you'll get bored and end up like this.

After finishing the demo twice I've just ordered the full game despite it looking crap on my 3 year old HP. Going by the heat coming off it when I play it won't be long before it gives up the ghost and something more suitable will replace it.
Same with me, the graphics are terrible on my PC but awaiting a new one soon. I am also waiting to get my new PC before playing this game properly and spending much time on it. Hard when I look at this thread daily. redtwin said:
What kind of spec are you considering?. I keep pricing up a home build and am never sure where to draw the line as far as what is needed vs desired.
I always find this place useful for balanced ideas; although it doesn't seem to have been updated in a while, that usually just means nothing much has changed.defblade said:

Thanks, for the link. Had a look and I am hoping to spend a bit less than their budget build. Have to watch out when people start talking "gaming" PCs and casually discuss a CPU costing more than I want to spend for the whole PC. Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
