Thanks Rex. Yeah very lucky, if I hit the car head on it would have been curtains. Hope so mate depends on how my recover goes.

Best news though champs - I'm leaving hospital today. Can't wait to get home.

I will say this. Given how close this was and seeing my daughters face over past few days, that's it for me and bikes. I've def used my 9 lives and its time to stop
Top, top news mate. thumbup

Great news Dice, hope you'll join us for Sunday's race.

The missus says Sunday nights just aren't the same 'without that bloke from Bristol' hehe

Thanks all.
Doubt ill make Sunday even as a ref - still in loads on pain.

Do you want to see the full extent the damage to me and bike. Mrs took some pics at the scene and of me now I'm home.

Ill warn you it's not pretty though

The bike

The fixed leg

Good leg

Some of the others won't upload from phone but my chest, right shoulder and arm all look like the good leg all the way to the toes. The plaster on fixed leg hides ten staples where they screwed the rod at the bottom. the top of the leg has around 30 staples too! My sis has my boots, I've not seen them but there's a 6 inch slash in the right - how I've not broken more stuff is beyond me!

Very lucky I guess.

I'd say you got away with that, it could have been ten times worse.

How was the driver of the car?

He was fine. He hit his chest in the wheel so as a precaution they cut him out but was released on sat night, believe it was mainly shock, bumps and bruises but nothing more.

The more I see or hear the more I know how lucky I was!

Mrs has moved my ps3 to living room so if I'm a bit more comfortable by next week I might jump in using the controller - she was intrigued to watch a round especially after mrs flip's comments

I've never had a bike, and never will, because as much as I think it would be fun the chances of ending up in your situation are too great. I'm glad you're "OK" Dice as that first picture had all the hallmarks of a very bad news story. Hope you heal quickly and fully.

Bloody helly Dice - that looked nasty. Best wishes for a quick and full recovery.

I sold my bike last year since I wasn't using it much. I've had a couple of offs, but luckily for me it was just down to my own tttery and over exuberance on the track, so no real damage done. I felt a need to calm it down though, got rid of the bike, but then had 2nd thoughts and have been looking at getting another. I think I'll leave it be now.

Cheers viper. I've thought about just a track bike but if there's one at home the temptation to ride it would be there and it's just not worth it anymore. Brother in law said I can use the quad on the farm anytime I like. Going to use the insurance money and what every I get for the other bike to buy a 4 wheel toy, still fancy an e46 m3!

Norbs re v8s - 92 degree temp of throttle pedal - ouch

Four wheel motorbike maybe? You can't fall off these.
