Look at the latest footage they’ve put out on YouTube and Twitter. There’s a video at Ohio with an S200 and another one with a Mitsubishi Lancer.
I have got both consoles, I do enjoy GT7 despite it’s flaws. I was looking forward to this.. the developers are known to use ancient renders/inaccurate models though. There’s also a long running thread on the Forza forums.

Yeah I've seen the footage you're talking about and whilst it is marked as pre-release, it looks worse than the footage they've shown before for some reason. Compression might be an issue but they're missing literally massive features like reflections ffs. No idea why they thought this would be a good idea.I have got both consoles, I do enjoy GT7 despite it’s flaws. And yeah, I mentioned this a few comments back but I suspected they'd just re-use the old models which there really is no excuse for. It's not hard to find an Evo 5 for example is it.
This vid covers quite a lot of the issues in one place:
I know they're saying it'll be 4k at 60fps but if it's going to look like this, no thanks. Fingers crossed it's just an issue with the footage shown and not what the game will look like.
If they had to remodel every car for every release, it would take them forever to release a new version, instead they focus on a few areas to improve on every release and reuse assets across Horizon and Motorsports to get the most value out of them - the assets and licensing of them are not cheap.
I feel the franchise is getting a big stale myself, but what else can you do with cars driving around that's not been covered by codemasters or sony already.
I dunno, I feel like the car points/ game pass argument is actually really interesting. If past iterations are anything to go by, there are usually like what; at least 5 or 6 "meta" cars for each class if you're so inclined to race online? 5 cars to fully upgrade per E - P1 class @ 3 hours (minimum) per car is 135 hours alone in just straight levelling cars. He's right in that it is a very lazy way to artificially inflate play time.

I'm not asking them to remodel every car, just the ones that are old enough to drink now ch37 said:

Seen a few videos tonight of first impressions, the gameplay footage looks MUCH better which is a relief. Overall seems more of the same in a good way.
You mean some 'YouTubers' got in a tizz for some clicks?! Never!I wasn't referring to anything any of them said, I was basing my opinion on the footage I saw from several different videos. The graphics/sound design/frame rate all looks good and far better than the video Turn 10 had up that looked awful.
Does anyone know if the plan to add more tracks post release? 20 tracks is generous but some are fictional.
I'd love to see some UK tracks like Brands Hatch or Donnington.
Given the alignment to the Hypercars / WEC I was surprised to not see COTA, Portimao, Fuji etc, the latter being tracks from the current season + COTA just because it's one of the best tracks across the Atlantic.
Still, I've pre-ordered the premium add-ons so looking forward to getting stuck into this a few days early

The reason it's just Forza Motorsport rather them FM8 is that it's supposed to be in continual development - but it's a Microsoft flagship product and they said similar things for Windows 10 and Flight Simulator, only to release new versions so who knows...I'd love to see some UK tracks like Brands Hatch or Donnington.

Everyone wants to see their local/favourite tracks I guess, I really hope that they are active with updates.
I've also bought the premium add ons, and I'm quite looking forward to the launch now based on what has been released game play wise.

Yeah they have said they'll add more tracks through time. Brands has been in since 6 so assume it'll be back. I'd love to see some UK tracks like Brands Hatch or Donnington.

Given the recent "leaks" about Microsoft, this might be the only Motorsport title that's designed for the Series' consoles. The next gen console is coming out in 2028, so I reckon we'll see the game after this one being a launch title for it.
I've been playing 7 again recently to get back up to speed. I'm really forward to the driver rating system as the multiplayer lobbies still have rammers. I suspect the best way to play online will still be in leagues that are run independently though.

The car list for the initial game https://forza.net/news/forza-motorsport-car-list
The most recent F1 cars I can see are the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 and 1990 Ferrari 641. Previous motorsports had modern F1 cars, FM7 had the Renault RS 17, so hopefully something 2000s or even something with the 2022 rules is coming. An Alpine if the relationship with Renault is still there.

In case anyone is wondering that's about 500 cars not counting the premium pack stuff...ajprice said:

I must admit I don't think i've ever driven an F1 car in FM, didn't even know they were in there Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
