With all due respect, it seems very odd indeed that in a game where you kill every hostile you meet (unlike Dishnoured and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, there are no non-lethal take-downs), usually in a spray of blood, that one should be concerned by a little fruity language.
If little ears might hear then little eyes might see too, so it is possibly the wrong time to be playing the game; wait until they go to bed. Or if you are happy that little eyes won't hear then use headphones.

I absolutely love this game. I've always liked the Far Cry series. This one is a big improvement over the others though.
The only issue I have with it is the laggy input which can make close up gun fights quite difficult. The 'look' 'mechanism' or whatever just seems to be very slow and annoying. Don't know if anyone else thinks the same?

I don't know why I missed the far cry series, but after reading some of this thread I've ploughed in...
Just done the lumberyard mission, have all the radio towers on the first island and about half the bases - has anyone for good suggestions on how to take down the armoured guards, I haven't done enough to unlock the heavy takedown and the sniper rifle doesn't do the job...

Last play I meat these heavies for the first time. pepered with sniper shots and they barely blinked. nuts.
Why does it take a clip in an assault rifle to take down a stupid tiger?
A single mine/c4 or molotov will take them down. Also I'm lead to believe a sniper rifle shot to the head will too. Why does it take a clip in an assault rifle to take down a stupid tiger?
I mostly use the takedown thing though, but you probably don't have that yet for heavies.
Find 20 relics and you will unlock the AMR which is the signature version of the Z93 (you still have to buy it for $4,800). It will kill any enemy in the game with one shot (I think). I used it with a silenced sniper rifle because you can't fit a silencer to it so it's not great for stealth players ..

you can fit a silencer to the Z93 though, no point wasting a slot for a marginally more powerful gun IMO.Have been playing this for a couple of weeks now and love it, although i was gutted over the weekend when the auto-save messed up and lost about 3-hours of play.
The xbox controller is also too laggy, so can be difficult to aim, especially in melee.
I take out the 'heavy' guards with a rocket launcher! The other 3-weapons i like to carry are the shredder, sniper rifle and cross-bow as it's good to take down camps without them raising the alarm.

I seem to be getting lots of glitches at the moment.
My gun keeps disappearing so I'm constantly hitting next/previous weapon/manually selecting to get it back, which can be a right pain if you get attacked by something and need to open fire quickly.
Also - on Friday the game couldn't connect to the servers... eventually something went haywire and for 30 mins I was totally invisible to everyone - no one could see me, no one responeded if I started shooting, lobbing grenades, killing people left & right etc - I ended up running about doing chained takedowns and got ridiculous ammounts of XP. I did one of the trials and my score went from a previous best of about 750 to well over 2000.

I found the grenade launcher to be more versatile than the rocket launcher, but otherwise I had a similar load-out; shredder, a sniper rifle, the grenade launcher, and whatever was most useful for the current mission or else the bow.just finished this last night, loved every minute of it. i dont usually play or like open world role playing style games but i really got into farcry3. thinking about going a step further and buying skyrim on ps3, but not sure if i will find it too "complicated" if you know what i mean. what with all the spells, magic and all that. how big a step is it from farcry to skyrim?
