just finished this last night, loved every minute of it. i dont usually play or like open world role playing style games but i really got into farcry3. thinking about going a step further and buying skyrim on ps3, but not sure if i will find it too "complicated" if you know what i mean. what with all the spells, magic and all that. how big a step is it from farcry to skyrim?
Superficially, not a great step. Especially if you're not into the whole magic thing and are happy to do the Far Cry thing of stealth, blade and bow. It's also a much richer experience with lots more 'flavour' in the way of clutter, food, notes, chairs, tables, wall decorations, etc. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I think Far Cry 3 is quite lacking there. Another one you might want to take a look at is Dishonored. Not as graphically rich as FC3 or Skyrim, but worth playing. I enjoyed it a lot.

cheers, i'll probably go buy skyrim when the misses gets back tonight. game on. Another one you might want to take a look at is Dishonored. Not as graphically rich as FC3 or Skyrim, but worth playing. I enjoyed it a lot.
God I love this game! I've restarted it twice now just because I love blowing up camps and taking them out.
Inventory carried:
Slot 1 Ripper
Slot 2 AMR (A Massive Rifle!)
Slot 3 Flamethrower - Burn baby burn!
Slot 4 Grenade launcher.
This game is great. I've enacted Rambo perfectly from the C4 placement to the grenade launcher. I've got to the bit where Vass comes at you and all you have is a SMG. I got wiped out about four times in a row, got bored and went Deer hunting instead.. with a flamethrower
I've bought all the weapons including signatures, maxed them out for accessories and gotten 65 of the Relics. I've taken all of the radio towers and burned all the bases but I've not completed the Vass mission so I am presuming that the bottom of the map is not yet visible until I toast Vass, is this the case?
Been gaming since Doom. This is THE best fps I've played. I think it's down to the sheer variety on offer. I found Skyrim a bit dull and samey

Pretty much. Or, rather, you won't unlock the South island until after you get past that mission. Jasandjules said:
Hmm, finding it rather hard to not set of alarms when you attack a camp... Only managed two out of the four.
Try using silenced weapons sparingly until you can sneak your way to the alarm and disable it. You can get pretty close to people without them noticing you. Great game though. Might start a new save and see what the other ending is all about. When you first start out the game is much more intense because there is just so much st that can kill you!

managed to get a shark skin with a well aimed granade - not sure what i can craft though, do i need 2?
The crafting screen will tell you how many you need. As others have said, you need two. But if you try and craft it, it will show you how many you require and how many you own. Just like with crafting syringes. LordFlathead said:
