Interesting.

More progressive with the physics - easier to catch a slide, yet still tricky.

They need to sort the rain animation so it bleeds up the windscreen, and offer some wipers, otherwise it'll look wierd.

Still, fun so far.

Had a quick play around too hot to do much. Haven't experienced rain yet but I can report for me with everything maxxed out in DX9 in 1280x1025x32 (running at 75hz perfectly fill my 19" monitor) I am getting between 70-110 FSP at Barcelona.

Did some laps (ghost car is really annoying me getting in the way and putting me off and if anyone know how to get rid of it I'd be most grateful).

Same time with both cars on the default setup haven't tried anything else....1m37.6s (both around 100k replay files, anyone can host them on some free space so if you do some good laps post them here, even if they are funny ones )

I seem to be stuck at about 60FPS on GTL and GTR (and GTR2)...

Anything to do with Vsync? It's off as far as I can tell..

Dave.

Downloaded it overnight and had a quick go this morning. Don't normally play driving games on the PC, but I have to say this one is amazing. Might have to get myself a steering wheel and give this one a go. Any recommendations?

Er.......this was quick. From those clever add-on people from the 'Mr Men Mods' they have already released Bathurst for the demo!!!! Ps. These guys - www.mrmenmods.org/ for other work

Bathurst hosted here - http://hosted.filefront.com/LeaguesOn

Just downloading now and will try later.

Bloody Hell, quick alright..

Shall we post Bathurst times on 'ere then?

And if you're after a wheel to play, I would say Logitech Dricing Force Pro (Advertised as PS2 wheel but works on PC with drivers).
Not too much on eBay now, and if you buy soon pick up GT Legends for a tenner on Play.com to fill in the time gap waiting for GTR2

Plus - READ the README.txt file on how to use Bathurst. It's pretty simple. It seems the demo only works for one track, so you have to move you Barcelona track out of the locations folder to somewhere safe and then copy Bathurst in. Then swap them as you need them.

I only just managed a 1:42.2

There is no option in the menu for MS sidewinder FFB wheel so I have to use "general wheel" and the ffb is quite poor.

but probably i'm just not very good (yet).

Just downloaded it and managed a 1:45 with the Lambo. Dont think I'll bother buying the game, its just identical to GTR

Just as a bit of fun to try out the rain and the reflections which look really good on the replay, don't see it too clearly driving. Here's a Ferrari 575GTC lap with rain set at 100%, no driving aids either at Barcelona as Bathurst doesn't have the reflections on the track.

I thought the same...it doesn't seem that much different, all the cars feel slightly different to control!

Me too. I'm sticking to rFactor, same engine but loads more mods and add-ons.
