I've ignored this game whilst I honed my skills on GTL...now I am getting an itchy right foot.

Whats the score with this game then? I've see the posts on here and like what I see but is it different enough from GTR/GTL etc, do the cars handle realistically because there seems to be loads of add-ons, can you get interior views (the only way to drive IMO)

Any comments welcome

There are many different series to chose from each with their own characteristics depending on the cars themselves.

Yes.

As I mentioned on another thread GTR/GTL/GTR2 uses a licensed version of the gMotor and now Gmotor2 (GTR2) game engine which is developed by ISI who are the makers of rFactor. Ergo......same views/ interiors/exteriors trackside cameras, replays. Online code seems a lot better (it uses very good anti-cheating protection) and you can also export video clips automatically fromwithin rFactor's replay screens.

The demo cars are worth a quick go, but apart from the BMW2006 F1 car the Rhez (?) hatchbacks aren't anything special unless you upgrade them.

In the full game the ISI rftrainers/F3 and F1 cars are good but the real fun comes with the add-ons. 1979mod, F12005, V8Factor and others.

www.rfactorcentral.com/ is the best resource.
