Been playing BF:MC on the 360 for a while now, almost all online in the huge multiplayer Live arenas.

With CoD3, GoW etc. out for Xmas it sounds like BF is likely to die. (Not a bad thing considering the amount the servers crash!).

I find myself strangly drawn to being killed by pre-pubescent Americans so I'll be getting one of these new generation FPS games.

Any experience of these new games in online multiplay?

Well GOW isn't strictly an FPS, it's all 3rd person. COD3 seems to have a bit more in the way of multiplayer variety, GOW is currently set to simple 4 vs 4 until the developers release some more modes for it. However, I believe that GOW will attract the most pre-pubescent Americans.

I hope it's not all 3rd person, that would be dissapointing

Hopefully there will be a setting to switch to first person somewhere

I believe it zooms in to first person for certain weapons when you want precision aiming, but 90% of the time you're stuck with 3rd person, just makes the whole diving for cover and firing over walls a lot easier.

OK then, now that they're both out (GoW & CoD3) and I've noticed a few of you playing them, which is best for online multiplaying?

I had a go on the Rainbow Six Vegas demo the other day and was very unimpressed.

I've had limited experience of both (not a lot of time). I'd suggest that CoD3 is a better online game, but I've played both very little online.

i was in a multiplayer game last night and one of the guys mentioned that he was playing against a 10 year old US kid and every time that the kid wiped out the UK guy, he would start to sing the US national anthem. It came to a point were the US kids team mates started killing him at the start of everygame or take him out with the Hammer of God (satilite gun).
