rFactor League time
Discussion
It's about time we got something sorted now.
PCC
Caterham Cup
BMW E46 M3
Clio Cup
V8s
Personally I'd like any of:
V8 Factor
F1 1979
Superkarts
Fabcar
Protoracers (Demon & Proton)
BMW 1 series
ETCC
F3/Formula BMW
Rallycars on ISI dirt tracks (Mills, Toban etc..)
Although I wonder if it might be a good idea to run 2 league, one for tintop one for open wheel.

And at some point during the next couple of months (I hope) the scratch built Le Mans track will be released. And we must do a 24hr race there a 1hour race with time sped up x20 I think to give day, evening, night, morning in one hour
Might be in time for the league or as a finale.
2 versions will be out.
1972-1976 version - www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Le%20Mans%201972%2D1986
1991-1996 version - www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Le%20Mans%201991%2D1996

To be honest chaps, the more variations that you throw in, the less I'll be likely to bother joining in.
The appeal of GTL to me was that the range of cars and handling traits was largely reduced, and so therefore gave a more level playing field.
By offering a billion types of car to learn to drive, I simply do not have the time or patience to try and learn any of them.
Its mostly the reason why I don't play now - I never seem to have the right versions of Mods installed when I simply want to pick up and play, and so, as good as RFactor is, I simply dont bother.
If its a league, it should be one range of cars, over different tracks, not loads of different cars.

That's what we are trying to do. We're trying to tie it down to one league, one series. Just after opinions and ideas and personal preferences. Then get about 5 most popular and do a vote, winner is what we race I suppose. Like tonight, racing the Gallardo's. I think they would be very bad for league racing as they are just too twitchy.

Fair enough, thats fine. However the verisons etc need to remain the same all through the league in order to keep everyones interest up.
Additionally, I would prefer a GTL game - the hadling seemed a bit less arsey, but then that could just be me.
Either way, fix it and agree and a league I'd play. However I'd not be doing anything else as per my comments.
Thats why GTL worked - everyone had the same version and no compatibility issues (until we tried the Fezza skins).
Ta for the email. I'm in the server now tooling about.
Having a set league with one type of vehicle should solve all the issues. Just need to vote what we want, so ta for FWD starting this thread.
My vote goes to the Caterhams, since I don't like anything with crazy power and OTT twitchiness.
I like most of the tin top stuff too. Gallardos and open wheelers don't really float my boat.

I think there should be an update in the future so that you dont actually have to go and do that.
If you've just downloaded some cars, you want to use them.
Not like in a career mode.
Bah you get what I mean.
For me personally I only like driving cars that are fast but handle well for the track (if we are up against each other).
Otherwise single player anything.
