What have they been doing for the last few years? This game is way worse than the old one (which was great).

Why do all naturally aspirated cars have two seconds of 'turbo lag' - where there is ZERO power available? (in either manual or auto modes). You cannot even balance the cars on throttle.

No way I'll be upgrading the the full GT when it appears. Joey's.

Just glad it was free with the console.

It comes to something when the driving physics in Grand Theft 4 are superior to GT!

Christ, even the V12 engines sound like kitchen appliances.

Forza Motorsport 2 is an immense game, I must admit. I enjoyed designing 500bhp touring cars on that game.

I will be playing GT5 though. I played the demo, and it seemed to be more realistic in that there was really inhibitive traction control stopping you from applying any power at all. Which is more true to real life.

They may have gone overboard on the fine tuning though, since you used to be able to apply brakes and throttle mid corner any which way you wanted seemingly without any consequences. Either way, It looks amazing. I heard the real version had damage modeling too? Prologue doesn't.

I thought GT5-P was excellent. Looked great, drove really well with a steering wheel, sounded nice, and had enough content for £20.

I have both Forza 2 & GT Prologue.

Prologue firstly as we all know isnt the full game - xmas 08... or later.
Secondly price well they can both be bought for the same - Well I bought Forza2 brand new at Xmas for £11.99 bargin.

I started Forza2 with the Golf Mk2 GTi 16v... or dear a mistake it sounds so bad I wish i'd opted for the Mini Cooper S now... Anyway the Golf has over 400bhp which really is LOL funny.

Best car to control on the game (well road going FWD) has to be the Leon Cupra R - so simple to modify up to 400bhp and then you can change the engine to have 550bhp out of the box & RWD...

Forza 2 doesn't come close to GT5. The physics on Forza are nowhere near as good, and not to mention the tracks are rubbish. Take the Ring for example, they have grass on the outside of the Karusell, how realistic is that!

The level of detailing on GT5 is amazing. I read somewhere that it takes 6 months to create just one car, and that the time it took them to make one car in GT4, is the time it takes to create a single headlight in GT5.

Not to mention the drivers view on GT5, the interior detailing is very realistic. And I also hear that the full version will have a clutch funtion....

You can disable the driver aids.

Also try pro physics.

I have the Xbox360 with Forza, and really love the game, but I am still considering getting a PS3 when prices are more reasonable mainly for GT5. I heard that the prologue was actually quite good, but it's all down to opinion I guess. Is it true that in the real version you will be able to drive the TG track?? That could be fun....

Gran Turismo Prologue would be more accurate renaming the driving modes:

Standard = Arcade
Pro = Crazy drift mode

The cars also sound awful! They sound like varyingly powerful vacuum cleaners.

The worst part though is online.... eek

You make the cars from FWD to RWD?

Yes you can do such things as putting an S2000 engine/drivetrain into a 350Z!

Not such a good example as it is from RWD to RWD but thats is off the top of my head. In Forza there is a crazy racing car Cupra GT thing [I'll see if I can get some pics up a bit later] that has a Supercharged RWD Engine and you can effectivly take the engine and stuff out of that and put in into a regular Leon! hehe

Thats another thing that IMO makes Forza stand out, the depth of customisation and tuning that is available is incredible!

so 700 cars(ok 400 but with 300 extra models such as MR-FQ360,MR-FQ400 and MR-FQ300 being counted at 3 different cars) its going to take 350 years just to do the cars. how many blue ray discs will it take to house such artwork too?

plainly bks

Or 350 guys 1 year...

I also think they're over hyping though - there's no way the models are that detailed.

Online play is deffo much better on Forza. PS3 have got online all wrong. With no interface I don't see the point, you can't choose who you race against.

GT5 has to be played on pro mode to get the most out of it, else it is just an arcade game. I found that after playing GT5 prologue for a few weeks, Forza felt like an arcade game when I went back to it.
