I don't know. Mine went pop about 2 days before Xmas
I switched the TV off, got up, drove to town, bought another (Arcade) base unit, came home, plugged it in and off I went. Xmas without Xbox: I think not!
Should get the other sent off I suppose.
Exactly what I did, got bored of 2 days without the box so went and bought another. I'm such a lazt

I've not even sent my old one to be repaired yet. I want to send the old one in the new box for protection but am a bit concerned it'll get stolen so might wrap it in brown paper or something?MK4 Slowride said:

MK4 - they specifically state that faulty units shouldn't be returned in anything resembling Xbox packaging for the very reason they could get half-inched.

ta.
I'm not sure they're ever nicked because the people that come collect them (UPS?), are so used to collecting 360s that they store them in a specific part of their warehouses for mass transport to Germany. They always come and collect them from your hand so its quite unlikely that they'll be nicked.
