This article sums up fairly well why games like this never work. Payday 2, anyone? Especially if you wish to play with randoms online, no-one will talk, no-one will plan and someone will always fk it up massively early on.
The Division developers say they want to create a sense of community online again, which would be nice. Though it seems in The Division, you can make progress alone should you wish, without being tied to the 'net to connect you with team mates who will probably suck.

Yes, you will need uPlayETA: Thanks for reminding me, just checked my email and got my code through, just activated (Like you would on Steam) through uPlay and the game is currently installing.

Been playing the Beta over the past few nights and I honestly don't know what to think. T hunt with a mate was enjoyable - with randoms it simply descended into a COD style rush to get the most kills. So revives were rare, no one communicated or co ordinated and team mates would happily shoot through you to try and get a kill.
PvP is to imbalanced from my experience and over to quickly - also gets old fast when idiot team mates start wrecking defences, TK'ing etc. I always felt the defending force were on the back foot, lack of decent defending classes, fortifications etc.
After 2 nights of play I did find myself getting a little bored - same 3 maps, same game routine. Its seems puddle deep and I can see it having limited appeal over a period of time. You fall into a routine very quickly with the same classes / attack approaches etc. Its definitely not as dynamic as the initial game trailers made out - also pretty bland visually as well.
Considering there is only MP and a few extra maps to come I am not sure I can see this as being a £60 purchase.

WTF is going on with the servers?! Working one minute and then completely FUBAR'd the next.
Have played this for a couple of hours. I'm unconvinced but have had some fun, particularly when squadding up. On the one hand, the "set-up" of missions, the rappelling and more tactical approach to shooty shooty is quite fun and a welcome change of pace. On the other hand, the movements feel clunky, it can be quite repetitive and (I am ashamed to say) the graphics aren't particularly good. There isn't enough of a difference in how guns feel either.
I think they've missed the mark with this one. Not enough depth for the R6 hardcore following (although I didn't try realistic mode) but far too slow for the casual gamer. Jack of all trades and all that. It is fun killing your own teammates in ingenious ways though.
I don't think I'll be purchasing as they are so many incredible games out at the moment.

Played the open BETA for a few days. Great improvement from the closed BETA runs at 70+ fps and my machine is a couple of years old now.
It's a tough game (and the level of difficulty has gone up again) but I don't think storming a house full of terrorists would ever be easy? I like it.
Worth a try
