Very, very nice Matt, Carter-esque compositions even....
What a gorgeous country NZ is, I must go someday.

I miss your blog write-up of the last leg of the "Gravy world tour".

I really like the colours! Is that because of the equipment you're using that they're so rich (I don't know/understand about that type of equipment!)

its a combination of time of day, film and camera. These are all at dawn or dusk when the light is nice, velvia 100F as a nice warm tone with strong contrast and saturation, and the lenses give great colour too. I'm still not happy with the scans but thats another matter...

Brings it all back. (I visited most of the places shown).

Better photographed than I could ever manage. Brill. Thanks for sharing.

Are you telling me they've not been Photoshopped? That's incredible to have got that style through photographic skill alone.

They're awesome.

bow bow bow

Having been to all of those places (multiple times in most cases) I'm very very impressed by those photos, especially being taken all in one visit. It almost makes them look better than real life.

ETA: That last one of the Lindis Pass especially, it looks like it was painted by Graeme Sydney rather than photgraphed, and that is a very big compliment.

Great stuff matt. I absolutely adore number 11 (tree in lake) and the First Foot Island pic is a masterpiece.

Now you've gone a got even more resolution! Targetting London Busses now are we?

Well done... and well worth the pink camper methinks.

Matt, those colours are incredible, I've never been there, but to the naked eye are the colours depicted in the photos pretty close to how they are for real, or does using Velvia film enhance reality a little?
