The birds they mock me
Discussion
Only an enthusiastic amateur but the challenge of photographing birds is something I enjoy
Managed to catch this guy (apparently a Rock Kestrel?) on Chapman's Peak Drive in SA a while ago, took lots of different photos as he swooped around and hovered, this is my favourite as I was shooting just as he looked directly down the lens

Funnily enough, in the last couple of weeks we've been visited for the first time by a Nuthatch and a Greater Spotted Woodpecker ourselves on our birdfeeder in suburban Warrington. Been feeding the birds for a good 5 years consistently, so it is a bit of a coup as they each come back a few times a day.
I've got some photos through glass - two sets of double glazing - as I can't get into the conservatory without them scarpering as the birdfeeder is only 6ft from the conservatory. So, the photos are a bit out of focus, and compared to yours they are not worth posting - but I shall persevere until they get tame enough for me to get a bit closer.

A bit further away than the lone wolf when I took this pic of him hunting in a sea lagoon.
