thanks, prefer outdoor to studio but she prefers studio and also I prefera more natural look but she wants a more edgy high fashion plaster the face with a bukkake amount of makeup look!

Found a couple of old rolls of sensia that I hadnt processed. Couldnt be arsed waiting for 20 weeks whilst the lab turned them around so popped em in c41 in an hour lab. Forgot I ever took these, had no idea what was on the film

no masterpieces but direct out of the negative like that, has a look of some of the actions I've seen people use in photoshop

is that a superimposed background? I actually like the shot of her but the background looks very fake!

Why thankyou stigmund, I'm trying to get a bit of practice in before a 'real' shoot of a friends wee one. Gotta say though i do love snapping babies and toddlers, there's something about the way they don't consciously pose.

looking forward to mine! PRefer the other version of your shot as I'm not a big fan of the "PS" frames

Shot some new portraits of my little girl tonight, first set with the 40D and the nifty 50. Shots were lit with a 430EX on the camera but bounced off a translucent reflector to either right or left (plus the room lights).

I think the 3rd one is my favourite, but I'd love to hear some C&C from you guys.
portraits are hard as they only mean something to the subject usually but thats something you could hang anywhere and people get enjoyment from it!

Still slowly finishing off the studio build, just a boring big room at the minute bug got plans for this year. Got a softa from Sue Ryder last week. Comfy and thought give it a try out

thanks guys just used a 42 inch beauty dish

here is the same shot in colour which doesn't work

then took a shot with flash turned off, just using the light. To throw a bit mor usable light into the place at the back of the studio I have a 6ft beauty dish turned horizontal. ISO was 16 or 3200

excellent andy, want to do my baby when it comes in may?!

Which lens did you go for? The first shot whislt I see what you mean about the feet I think it adds a great depth and feel you would lose with sharpness
