Another from the local pub's "Open Mic" Night -



Camera: On Manual; 1/125 sec, F6.3, ISO 320 (to kill all ambient light).

Lighting: a single 580EX II Speedlite with honeycomb grid (clamped to a shelf, camera right; 1/16 power), fired with an ST-E2. A little P'shoppery for B&W conversion, dodge and burn.

nice one! I usually just ramp up iso to include atmospheric. Currently booked to shoot behind the scenes of a music video shoot which is rather exciting!

number 1 is great! I've got the bed in teh studio for a similar shoot think it works really well as a look

to be honest small spaces work best for me as its what I got used to but like when you buy that huge lens its hard to go back to speedlights or smaller flash units when you have bigger units... though not always giving the best results. Being lazy is easy when you have space, being creative is what you do when you are up against it. Really like the first one!

did some product shoot the other day, at the end the makeup/hair girl wanted to join in too so fired this one off

shot 20+ girls yesterday for a fashion show, it was hard as it was in a mirror walled dance studio and I cant show the shots but they came out really nice
