The bus passing by made it quite clear...

I always considered street level to be a fiction in the big city; beauty is up there

I thought I knew which picture to use, but I'm not so sure now.

Getting my act together before the last day of the month this time. Been out trying to shoot specifically for the theme:

But also tempted to submit this taken in November. Handheld at 1/30 f2.0

C&C very welcome

Cheers. I just wandered around the city centre working pretty quickly - 2 mins here, 5 mins there.

Enjoyed shooting from the hip between times (how did your efforts turn out?) but for the most part I stumbled a bit with focusing. Gonna persist with this and try narrowing the aperture beyond f8.0 and giving a little bit on the ISO too - think with so many moving elements that shutter needs to be 1/200 or quicker where you might ordinarily get lucky with 1/80 or 1/100.

Did manage this gem, mind you...

not seen the film yet, it went on a little trip on the way back from the lab and should (fingers crossed) be here tomorrow. Really not sure what to expect

Is that taken in Prague, form the clock tower with the world's most disappointing puppet show?

Went with this but unfortunately only got low res scans (35mm) of it

Also felt these were possible contenders but lacked the atmosphere

I'm going to bite the bullet and have a go. Taken in Marrakech last year.

I had the camera at chest height and was clicking fairly randomly. This one was the only one that worked, there were an awful lot that didn't.

I like that this chap was having a quiet smoke. I realised how much must be invested in his costume, when I saw how tatty his trousers and shoes were. It still makes me feel sad when I look at them frown

I have no idea which one to have a punt with. Any CC / suggestions welcome smile

Yep, taken from the clock tower in Prague

Didn't see the worlds most disappointing puppet show though

Both strong images but the first one gets my vote.

Got back from NY this morning. Loads to sort through but I'm liking this one so far for this comp.

It seems to be a bit of a NY comp this month though!
