PH Studio Shoot....Updated

Those photos are awesome guys. Havent had chance to Photoshop mine yet as we are mid house move and apparently packing boxes is more important!
I got quite a nice shot of the TVR with the lights behind, so thanks to the shutter man for the perfect timing whilst I did the lights!
The Golf seems to have come out as one of the best for me so will put some photos up soon.
Thanks for posting the picture of my s2000 Steve. My shots aren't great so it was fab to see your excellent composition.
A belated thanks also the Pete and Paul for an excellent day, great crowd and really enjoyable! Think I am definately going on a photography course next academic year now to pick up some more skills then I am going to try to get on one of these days again if they are still running. A really excellent day and good value for money. Can't recommend enough!

Paul/Pete thanks to both of you for a really thoroughly enjoyable day!
I'm a very, very novice tog (read: takes camera on holiday type) but this day was perfect. Pete went through what he was doing (and why) very clearly, and answered all questions thrown at him (apologies for any/all of mine!). As I am not in the least bit proficient with PhotoShop yet, so I'll post some "straight off the camera" pics. I'm grateful for all the help from everyone during our individual photos, and I'm sure some others from the day will be along in good time with more professional ones, but here's a taster of todays session:

Agree with Will an excellent day and thanks to Paul & Pete for their hospitality and expertise. Well worth getting yourselves along to one of these events if you are remotely interested in taking photographs of cars. Access to a studio, exotic cars and all the studio equipment, makes this well worth the money; on top of that you are getting assistance from a Pro Photographer and get to meet a lot of nice people with a similar interest, makes for a great day out!
I will post some shots when I have done some post production work.
Thanks guys
Paul

Hi all,
just wanted to add my thanks to Pete and Paul for a fab day yesterday at the PistonHeads photo shoot, I really enjoyed myself and met a great bunch of people. Pete's studio is an amazing place to shoot, and his walk through of how to set up the lights and tips on shooting were invaluable. I didn't realise how much effort and creativity went into photographing cars! The day was well worth the ££'s and I really hope that Pete does decide to do an advanced day with more time spent on post-production techniques as well, I'd definitely be up for that. It's a shame that all of the rest of the sessions this year are booked up as I'd love to get my 130i in the studio next! Hopefully next year or if someone else drops outs
The pics from Paul and Christopher look great, I can't wait till I get Photoshop and can do the layers thing with the Ferrari I can't remember how you directly link pics from flickr, but when I do I'll post some

Hi All,
Great pics so far!! I too wanted to say a huge thank you to Paul and Pete for organising the day, and providing great instruction and guidance on how to even begin photographing cars in a studio. Quite an eye opener for me, even though I'm somewhat involved in this industry anyway. A fantastic setup, and I would be 100% up for attending an advanced day where we'd get even more hands on with light setups, or even outdoor location photography - though I know others would maybe prefer to see more post production stuff. So, thank you again, and hello/thanks to all the others that I met on the day (nice collection of cars by the way Hope you all had a safe journey home.
I thought I'd better post some of my shots though I've only managed to find time to look at three of them. As I kinda know Photoshop I got a bit carried away and they do take time. These need to be worked on further to fix a few things. As you'll see in the end I wasn't liking the yellow behind the Porsche so that was one of the biggest changes I made. I'll hopefully get onto the remaining cars soon.
Enjoy - and if anyone wants to join me going out on location to do a shoot, or help me do a few rig shots, then please get in touch

Hey Guys
I would also like to thank Paul & Pete for a brilliant introduction into Studio Photography. Was fab experience, thank you both for making it happen!!
Please keep us updated on future events.
So i've got some OK(ish) shots, a couple I have played with the levels but the rest are straight from the camera. I will post some here and the rest on my flickr account, please feel free to check them out, critisism very much welcome!
Oh.... files are too big Can anyone tell me how I can shrink them? (without Photoshop)
I hate technology!

Have you got them on Flickr? If so, the small/ medium sizes usually works using the format for each.
Paul, out of interest, you're not related to Coral by any chance? An out-there-question, just that I was on FB earlier and saw her name pop up through a mutual friend (we all went to school together), and I've never met another Garlick!
