Oooh good subject, I've been making an effort to do more of this sort of shooting this year. Cant decide between these two though...

It's Mr Rusty!

(I like the second photo best smile) Edited to add: I've just been re-reading this thread and it hit me that this comment might be taken to mean that I prefer the pic of Mr Rusty! I mean't your photo of the busker smile

Thanks guys biggrin

No staging, they were waiting to cross the street. I've got a shed load of stuff from NY to go through then I'll get some more posted up biggrin

aaah new yoirk, that explains it. Now I am sure they are possibly a nice couple but if I saw them at a party, they'd be the ones I'd probably dread being introduced to most

Great shots there.

I'm just wondering how you all get on with taking shots in public places? Particularly when the shot is of specific people like the NY couple, the organ grinder and do on.

Do you ever get people turning awkward or questioning what you're doing? Or is the trick to shoot from far enough away smile

Your hip-shooting film? That's bad luck.

Does it make it better or worse that you don't know what images you've lost...

worse of course wink It should hopefully turn up eventually - it was more a case of looking forward to seeing if I managed to get lucky, thats the joy of film + hip shots

Two guys I met in "the street" - actually it was in the middle of nowhere in Grenada, and I needed directions! I loved the fact that they could just wander about with their bloody great machetes! Not sure if this is worthy of the competition though.

Never entered before but might try this month trying to learn this photography lark. I'm learning about the technical stuff but my wife is much better at picking what to take a picture of, shes always telling me i'm pointing the camera at a boring subject! lol

Not sure which to enter - not sure the first 2 qualify as a street?
