Can they not just have the airspace above 400ft?
That would be where aeroplanes are. rofl

I thought that was 500ft, just give them 401-499, I'm sure they'll cope
It is, obviously there is no need for buffer zone. biggrin

The upside of this now though is every drone sighting from a plane will be blamed on Amazon, every cloud
I had a light aircraft fly past at what must have been close to the lower limit last Sunday. Quite unnerving when you're close to your upper limit and around 400m out. yikes Not a nice situation, why anyone would knowingly fly near an airport is beyond me.

Question - I know hardly anything about drones.

how fast can they fly? - and can they be linked to a 'base / moving base' - for example - if you had a 'base' in a vehicle - could you set it to fly within say 20feet of it at a certain height?

just thinking if you were doing a track day - could be used for good filming.

or would you just have to tie some rope to a camera and a mini parachute for it to stay in the air?
Lots and lots of setting up and permissions to be gained before even flying one. Yes you could fly one from a vehicle if you wanted to. The DJI Inspire would do around 50 mph at one time but I think they've reduced the power as mine doesn't seem as fast as it once was.

Well it has a D/a authority of 33, which to me means the website has been around for a while and has a lot of other sites linking to it. They also have a decent FB following and accept Paypal so if it doesn't turn up you can lodge a dispute and get your money back.

I'd buy from there.
Try Heliguy, friendly people who're just as happy to give advice as to sell stuff. The sevice is second to none and they're as quick as Amazon when it comes to dispatching items. They're the company I deal with now.

Noss Head Lighthouse, Wick. Some inspection work and a promotional video. As far as a new venture goes, it's a nice way to start.
