Got myself a nice new digital camera last week (a Pentax Optio SV), and used it for the first time for my Chrismas do on Friday night. It survived the evening absolutely fine, but it seems that when I got home after a not inconsiderable number of ales , I managed to spill some tea over the camera! Worse still, I didn't actually notice I'd done this until the following morning.

Fortunately, everything is still working properly, but the 4-way navigation switch is now quite sticky which makes it a bit obstructive to use.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

get yourself some electrical cleaner in aerosol form and blast it round the switch, should do the job nicely

Indeed! Of course if Pentax could find it in the goodness of their hearts to supply a case with their £300 camera, there'd have been no problem.

I've ordered one from eBay, but it's coming from Hong Kong, so hasn't arrived yet...
