A strange thing happened on the way home from the gym last night . . .

. . . and I had the camera in the car . . .

. . . sorry, the composition and clarity might not be particularly good, but I don't have much experience of taking these sort of pics . . .

BTW, there are a few pics (I took over 50 in total):

Oh dear.
Unusual point for the fire to start, under the empty bonnet.....Is the battery under there?

Electrics, Battery, Fuel tank and brake fluid are at teh front if its the same as mine.

I beleive (could be wrong) that brake fluid is easier to set fire to than petrol and this is what usualy starts a fire in a crash. Brake fluid on a hot exhaust bursts into flames petrol just evapourates.

But that car dosnt look like it was in a crash. Just went up. very scarey. Must remember to buy a fire extinquiser

When we arrived the driver had just parked it.

He is fine (physically anyway).

Apparently he was driving along when he noticed smoke coming from the front. No idea how it actually started, but it burned for a very long time (we were there nearly 50mins). The only things to blow were the tyres.

BTW we were a safe distance. These pics were taken at nearly the full focal length of my camera. (x10 zoom - 380mm max)
