The difference between a D2x and a D1x was negligible when a processed NEF was shown on a 30 inch Cinema display and A3 print. We, a street photgrapher, a diamonds photographer and a re-toucher, thought that the difference was really in the lenses. The extra spend on a 17-55 versus a 18-35 and a 70-200VR was thought to be better. Well apart from my Dad ( the diamonds photographer, who wanted bellows but he's a bit weird like that )

I'll be interested to know, when you've had a play with it, why it's worth the thick end of £3K. I know it's 12Mp but what other features does it have that you especially wanted? Is the exposure latitude better than the D70? I hope so!

I guessed you'd made the step from 'whether' to 'why' by deciding to put your cash on the table! But yes, we'll all be very interested for a first hand review of the D2X when you've had time to get to grips with it

I've looking for updates on the D200 for months, i'd seen the spy shots taken with the camera phone, didn't think it would be announced for a while...I am 99.99999% sure this the real thing, its identical to the spy shots.

any other news? have Nikon made the annoucement? or are these "leaked" pictures?
