After 2 months of looking about and comparing models I have finally bought the one I first looked at!

Its the most expensive one on my list but I figured that it is sometimes best to get the best one you can afford.

Hope to have it delivered in 2-5 days. Bought from www.purelygadgets.co.uk who were about £300 cheaper than the high street. You should have seen the look on the face of the poor chap in Comet and currys when I asked if they could price match! No chance.

Panasonic NV-GS250B

Any other users out there?

Thanks to all those who gave me valuable advice over the last couple of months. I am most gratfull.

Well, you've had it for a couple of months now, so what's the verdict?

I'm in the market for a camcorder and have been following your search with interest

Hi,

Sorry been really slack!

Yestarday was actually the first time I used it on a track day and have not looked at the footage yet.

I did strap it to the roof of my Noble with a suction mount and go for a blast around the b roads.

The picture is excellent and OIS is far better than some digital stabalisation I have previously seen.

The camera is as good as they say and its easy to use and oporate etc.

My only problem is that since spending the £650 on it and using it I have realised that all I will ever be likely to use it for is the odd track day and its a bit too good for thet.

If I am honest I wish I had just spend £250 on the cheapest DV cam with AV in available and used bullet cameras for the td stuff.

I really prefer shooting on still format rather than film and on a few occasions I have been heading off somewhere with the D70 and have decided not to bother taking the vid cam too!

If you really want good pictures and great resulat then its a superb cam for £600ish, but just make sure you really need to be spending that much as I now realise that I didn't need to.

ps. If you want to buy it off me..........................

Bl00dy hell Greg...you've been packing the pounds on since I saw you at Brands! (Or is it just a bad crash helmet day?)

Cheeky bugger!! I have actually lost half a stone since then!

Yes indeed that is my good self in my pride and joy!

Were you there Hank?

You can see the vid cam mounted on the front roll bar.

I watched the whole hour and a half back last night and apart from 2 tail slides, the rest is very dull and I now wish I never bought the blinking camera!

Ho-hum. Sure i'll use it one day.

Turn off image stabilisation for a start, that makes it look much more boring, then hit curbs as fast as you can to give the illusion of being on it

Yeah, I find the pics turn out better if I'm actually there...

I only managed to get a couple of you tho, I'll sort them out a bit later.

It wobbles around like mad when I brake due to slight judder the car has at the moment. I tried it with OS off and you could not make out anything it was wobbleing so badly.

No idea how you get away with not using os Nathan!?
