Does anyone like the orange filter or do they think it's naff?

Is the filter applied in PS, or is it a real life one?

I think it works pretty well in some of them, but not others. Where the filter is acting only on the sky it's good, but where you get orange heads in shot it doesn't work for me.

For instance this one I like:

this one it's distracting:

edit, oops used the wrong example

Thanks y'all.

I think I agree it only works where it is just on the sky rather than anywhere else, i.e. shots 3 and 4. Just trying something new, they don't all work out! It was PS but applied like a glass filter rather than making it just on the sky.

I've got some more of the Lambo Orange Vette I'll stick up later.

Just a suggestion, but wouldn't it look more natural if you set the graduated layer in PS to Multiply? That way you keep the contrast in the areas where the "filter" overlaps the trees. I think the 'vette pic above in particular would benefit.

Naff, I'm afraid. I'm sure you don't need that effect in your shots.

BBB...I don't like that filter at all, your photos don't need it mate A polarizer and an ND might raise the bar a bit, but not that orange thing.

Martin.

OK thanks everyone. I've had a different go at a couple, raided my sky photos to fill in the great british white out of sky we had.

2nd Sunday of the month from 4.30pm. Valley Park near DFS. It's mainly American Cars and Hot/Rods but there was 1 TVR there this month.

Here are some pics from previous meets....
