As it was a straightforward ride up from the Ace Cafe Reunion to Croydon I thought I'd drop in on my way home. Took my iron horse to nuzzle up to a Pony or two:

Not that many people there this time apparently, too many other draws such as Santa Pod on the same day were to blame, still as it was my first visit I didn't get bored.

I seem to have spent most of my time picking out details though...

'Solid' Pete's looking for an expert at pinstriping who can reproduce in paint on his 'vette what is there in vinyl at the moment.

Suffered a Err05 on the 350D. Flash wouldn't pop up when commanded to. Did a lot of resetting, manually raising and lowering the flash and even replaced the battery to no avail. Eventually switched the camera off with the flash raised, left it up and powered back on. All seems OK now and I'm very relieved, but don't know what caused that to happen.

Nice shots I still haven't got the Charger back so wasn't there

Pete should go to Neil Malliard, www.prosign1.co.uk/ best in the UK and local in Wallington.

Did you hear what happened at the pod

Err05 is common.

If you don't exercise the built-in flash much, and it gets sticky. The camera will try to pop it three times and then give up, and it gives the Err 05 message.

If you exercise it like you did a few times it then gets happy. Key it to pop it up with the switch once a week or so.

Didn't hear what happened but will be looking now but I presume its very bad news. Strangely I'd been using the flash just a couple of hours before, wondered if the problem may have been caused by bungee cord pressure, or just plain vibration, from being on the back of the bike. I'd not secured my camera bag the same way as I had before - my fault.

Nope - Err05 just means that it has tried three times to operate the flash and failed.

Aassuming you can 'unstick' it all will be fine.
