Tianaman Square...

The tank drove around him? I'd never read the story or known much about it, and I've only seen a flew clips here and there on the TV, but I thought that picture was famous because the tank ran over him?

It was famous because the man had planet sized bks to stand in front of a line of tanks, given people had already been killed, armed only with a plastic bag. It became a symbol/icon of the struggle against oppression by the common man.

I'll have to try the plastic bag trick with a speed camera. Perhaps they'll let me off.

Does it need to be any particular kind of bag - size, colour etc? Would a supermarket bag be OK or does it need to be a decent shiny one from a department store?

I think it was mainly due to how significant the man was! Not that the pictures changed the world but his death has had big consequences. I mean he pretty much single handedly started at least 1 big war.

The very first photo is Kevin Carter's, I think, and one of the most psychologically harrowing photographs ever taken. I think this may also be the photo which preyed on Carter until he killed himself?
