HD For The "Everyman"
Discussion
To further confuse us about the "best camera for track day use", Sony have just announced the worldwide release (in July) of the HDR-HC1 high definition video handycam:
...I guess I have just found the replacement for my aging DCR-PC115.
I've had the HDR-FX1 now for a few months. Great camera, but not convenient for in car use. This should be the solution.
Now if they will just sort this HDDVD/Blue Ray crap out so that I can burn my HD footage on to DVD (currently have to play it back straight from the camera or via a multimedia station link, if edited)
