we had... (and thats had) over 6 greys in our garden. horrible things.. you know they kill song birds and raid nests and are genrally unpleasant little rodents.. well I put out a bowl of nuts thinking what a great pic it would be and waited... and waited..

went for a pee and what happened he was there and then ran off as soon as i got back...

bearing in mind what pests they are I thought.. I can solve two problems in one go here...


so I popped a round through his head and took the pic...

he has a kinda resigned look in his face..



Not nice, thank you. I hate the buggers too but not posting photo's of them.

i put a health warning on it...






yes it was a .22 rimfire from 40 yds.... and a 24-70l at f4 hence dof falling away

its a custom built anschutz.. very very effective.

and yes the predator that we know as the grey squirrel needs culling. its almost as responsible for the decline in the songbird as pollution and road traffic.. let alone the native red squirrel.
