Ladies and Gents

Last years photography sessions were a great success (thanks to you smile) and it's time to start thinking about what to do in 2011.

We have some thoughts, but would appreciate your input. So far, we are considering some, or all, of the following:

Teaching moving rig/ bolt on techniques

Location work - like the 'group test' shots you see in car magazines

Production skills - how to get the best from post production

Free studio time - come and use the PH studio (and kit) to shoot your own car (2 hour slots)

Video - how to shoot a car video properly

Beginners course - A pro snapper talks through all the functions on a camera, how to use them and what they do.

If you have any thoughts on this, please let us know and also let us know if there is something you would like to do that we haven't mentioned.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry don't venture into here much often, but how do these work? I would love to learn all of the above..
PistonHeads is based at Teddington Studios, and fortunately this building is also the home of the LAT studios http://www.haymarketstudios.com/location.html

We employ the services of a friendly pro snapper called Peter Spinney and he teaches small groups (no more than 10) how to shoot a car (or whatever it is that we are teaching).

Our 2010 sessions concentrated on studio techniques using a supplied car, and the cars of the attendees too. The price for the session (09.00 - 17.00 including lunch and refreshments) was £150. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=844...

This year we want to expand on this, and will use the large carpark to the rear of the studios to teach some moving car techniques and will aim to get out 'on location' too.

We hope that all sessions will be similarly priced, but we might have some differences either way depending on the sessions we are teaching.

I'll keep you posted of dates and prices.
