I just had some motorbike stylee cans made up with no perforated tubing inside (ie not a silencer but same appearance) and welded them onto the tailpipes after I'd cut about 6 inches off the end of the old exhaust - no going back then!!

Think it looks quite smart

Joolz couple of points

Can they be moded to slide over the exsisting pipes rather than cut and weld.I'm thinking of track days so would need to remove and place silencers on.

How much

these versions are purely for looks only, but proper silencer versions could be made for not much extra, pricing would probably be around 200 pounds a pair plus vat but hadn't thought about marketting them at all, just did it for my own personal amusement, the cerbera version doesn't sell at all well although i don't know why cos they look the mutts nuts to me

Over pipe slideable versions could be done too i'm sure

If there's enough interest I'll look into having a batch made?

I wouldn't want to scilence i, but a set of slide over ones would be good. If I ever get around to getting a SS exhaust.

Well, no problems associate with mine. You just need to make sure everyone knows it's for a cat car.. as the bits are slightly different.

My cats were replaced with stainless pipes, so you can see the bolts (where the cat was, and the pipe is!).. whereas, a non-cat car just goes straight up to the manifold. Hope that makes sense...!

All the parts for mine were sourced from ACT.. but David Batty did the exhaust and de-cat and Austec are fitting the manifolds... all S/S by the way.

Feel free to mail me if you have specific questions.

More debt!!!??? I don't think I can get into more debt. Anyhow I have spoken to ACT who says they can produce me a custom exhaust to make it sound really loud, just like my mini (mmmmm... mini illegal volume ).

Just need to get the funds. Also trying to save for insurance at the moment.

But a friend says that if I respray his car for him, he will help with the labour, he will cover my costs and buy me a SS exhaust for my efforts.

Summer and good sounds
