Rubber is not as risky as their usual hobnailed workboots Longers.
But I agree that to minimize the risk of paintwork damage, they should have their buttocks and elbows sandpapered before the big reveal. biggrin

is the first days route sorted?

as I'm coming from Zeebrugge I will probably not make it to Calais in time for the start, so would like to see where the route is and the lunch halt if possible.

just thought I would mention.....now just over 2 weeks to go! wink

Longers, when does the PIMP get issued? ...I'd hate to just wander around aimlessly on the Continent if I have no-one to follow ...

Longers is busy with Spa Classic coming weekend. I already prepared some routes for Luxemburg, Germany and Holland. We will finalise the routes next week when we return from our Capeverdian holiday ;-)

The week before last I was leading a big Porsche tour to Germany, as Han said it's the Spa Classic this weekend and today I have been finalising the orders and payments for the Le Mans Classic. But don't worry, the PIMP is on the way!

I saw Han when I was in Germany and by the time he gets back from his holiday he will (hopefully!) have received the PIMP and the routes from me so he can review them - apparently he's got a bit of local knowledge wink Plan is to get it all sent to you by 22/5. I am sorry this doesn't give you as long as you usually have, but hopefully 4 days will be enough for you to load satnavs, learn the contents of the PIMP by heart, etc.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, either here or by email.

Cheers,
L'rs smile

PS You'll know if you haven't sent me your disclaimer and passport details for the hotels yet. Please get them to me ASA-bloomin-P rolleyes

For anyone planning to use the M25 Dartford Crossing, please be aware that you can no longer pay at the toll booths, but have to do so by one of the methods listed on this link:

https://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/cost-of-moto...

Interesting to note that in 1999 the government promised that by the end of 2003, the toll charge would be ended. frown

And previous to that they said the tolls for the tunnel would disappear once it had been paid for.

I'm beginning to think they are rather naughty fibbers!
