Well there seems to a certain amount of interest in going to see Carlo in Italy. Well, it's actually his car that interest us but I'm sure he's a nice enough guy laugh

I've covered many happy miles in Europe in my various S's even if some of the last trip in June was on the back of a recovery truck paperbag
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Although I've travelled with various other cars and motorbikes the only time I've had another S for company was when Big Ian came along on one of my visits to Le Mans and it was fantastic.

A couple of us spoke at S Club earlier this year about doing a group trip and there were several interested. I'm more than happy to try and put something together for a long weekend S fest to Euroland for next year if there's enough people up for it.

Let's not get into the where, when, how long for etc now, but let's see who would be keen.....

2. anyone else.....?

This would be fun but no idea if I can make it yet. Last time I was there I had a friend with a flat in Milan and we went to Monza for the GP etc. My Italian may come in handy, 'Oi cretin' 'Gooday Vicar' 'Hello darling' 'Have you got a 900 lire stamp?'.

Those would get us throgh anything (except I don'y think there are 900 lire stamps now, but the other 3 could be good).

Great news that there's a group of us up for this bounce

I'm already in the final stages of organising another trip to Scotland in May 2010 for 18 people with a mixture of cars and motorbikes. Just got a couple of things to sort for that and I'll turn attention fully to this - am thinking early Sept at present to avoid school hol's and to also stand a chance of some decent weather...

I'd love to go, I am definatley interested, if enough notice then there shouldn't be a problem, SWMBO wouldn't go so there might even be an empty seat...
Cheers.....Tony..

Depending on dates, etc I want to register as interested....Does anyone know the road that the Lambo was on at the beginning of the Italian job?.....but remember, keep an eye out for bulldozers in those tunnels boys!

I think is St. Bernard valley, north of Aosta, about 200 km from my home... It's a great valley, great mountains (Gran Paradiso, Cervino etc...)

I appreciate the tentative nature of people committing at this stage as in some of the above comments. All I am trying to establish at the moment is who might be interested to get an approx number for deciding on travel options, hotels etc.... I thought we might get 4 or 5 cars up for it but that seems to have been exceeded pretty quickly!!

I fully understand that final numbers will only be decided once dates & costs are known wink

I've exchanged a couple of emails with Carlo about routes, destinations etc so watch this space and I'll post some more detail when I get it.
