The runners will match the floor profile ok so take out std seats and trial fit. The mx5 ones.

On mine std rear holes were used mx5 guide ped fits through front tvr holes and 2 front bolts required new holes drilling. Use big washers on the fibreglass..

When I fitted mine I was annoyed i had procrastinated so long as it was a much easier job than I imagined.

Cheers

Bit late to the party but "Like you say" One of the easiest jobs as most holes line up perfectly, and those that dont are a quick drilling to put right.
Mine was put off for many weeks and only 2 hours to do once I had the rusted old ones out.
As I am only 5ft 8ins tall the extra height and lateral support really made a vast improvement to my driving pleasure.

Just in case anyone else is thinking about doing this I have a nice pair of mk 1 MX-5 leather seats (refurbished in TVR Magnolia using Furniture Clinic products) avaliable.
I was going to put them in my Chim but the original seats looked so good after a similar re-furb that I decided to stay original.
