Escort Mk 4 Rear ones (not van or cabrio) are definitely getting harder but they are more recent and were made in bigger quantities so can still be found.

Agree, although I looked at those and getting a decent matching pair is not so easy, the pair listed are in Ramsgate and are collection only. I did buy a pair off ebay and when they arrived one was cracked in the corner so had to go through the dispute process to get a part refund, so now have an odd light that may be kept as a spare...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-ESCORT-Mk4-1986-199...

Another word of warning! The grp mouldings in the tail light area on the S, especially the early ones, are not 100% reliable (now there is s surprise!). If you just bolt the new unit in it could well catch or get distorted and as you tighten the nuts..it cracks. Guess how I found that out! The recess on one side on mine is considerably shallower and I had to grind a touch off the end of the corner projection of the lens and slightly change the spacing of the seal strip to get a good enough fit.

Thank you for mentioning that, I will hopefully get time to play with my car shortly and changing the rear lights over is on my list! Appreciate you pointing this out. Are the seals sufficient on there own or do people seal them with a sealant? Also, re the front Indicators, the ones for sale @ TVR Parts Ltd illustrates (see link below) it coming with the bulb holder section too, the description does say Lens but wondered if you get the whole lot? I will be asking them to clarify that. Also lucky for me they are not far from where I work so I can physically go and see the product to compare with what I currently have.

Jesus!!!! at £108 a piece they had better be original type. Better get them separately insured as well. I have got to be completely honest, I do not like them anyway, they dont fit the aperture or match the bumper rubber very well. Those fragile edges always seem to get cracked and then they look awful. Mind you, I am a pensioner, rather spend that much on something important!

Sorry i should have said, mine are from the guy that re manufactures them. he can be contacted at www.scimitar-tvrcentre.nl he often advertises on eBay so you shouldn't have a problem finding them, if not contact him directly.
They come as a complete unit, bulb holder and lens.
Not overly expensive considering the rarity, i believe he runs a batch quite frequently

Hope this link works?
Look under lamps and Bulbs in the eBay shop, the holders are listed as DAF LF45
You will need the associated connectors too, I added an additional o ring to my holders for a snug fit.

Anybody who is going down the line of Nissan Terrano front indicators, or who wants a spare pair in stock, should draw their wife/partners attention to ebay and to search accordingly. Christmas is a comin' and there are suddenly quite a few for sale! Incidentally it doesnt matter which 'hand' you bu on the S you can just turn the lens over. The units come complete with the back and reflector, it is rare to see the lens sold separately
