Having a slight 'technical hitch' with the video, my PC keeps dropping frames for some reason. Maybe something to do with the new disk, I dunno. Anyway, the resulting video quality is terrible. I've submitted a short clip to ph.tv but I don't know whether it'll get past the quality control check.

Very nice look forward to seeing it perform one day. It must be getting a bit tight under the bonnet with all that gubbings though .
I assume the new air box at the front is for another day.
Nice job .

Yes, the air box can wait for a bit. As you know, I'm planning to bring fresh air from beside the radiator, but I need to remake the ducting round the rad first. But sorting out the mechanical side takes priority, so the cold air stuff might have to wait until spring. Anyway, I've had enough of working in the freezing cold for now! It took me about a week to get this far, the highest temperature recorded during this time was +4 C. My fingers still aren't talking to me. Did I mention how cold it was? But it was worth it for the sensation of somebody running into the back of you when you open the throttle, and that glorious noise!

Just had a look at the pics again, spotted the remote temp monitor on the dash and the sensor strapped to the Intake filter, helps to keep an eye on things I assume .

Excellent work Pete !

The last time I saw any pictures it was the component parts at Zolder, really glad you've got it this far.

Doesn't look like I'm going to make Zolder and my annual passenger laps with you, so I'll have to blag a ride somewhere else as I am sure it is going to be a rather ride !!

Considering the induction upgrades, what changed have you made to the ignition system, I realise you will remap etc, but what about the component parts such as dizzy, coil etc. I still struggle with why people only upgrade the induction and fuelling without any changes or upgrades to the bits that make the sparks ?

Shame you won't be at Zolder. Hopefully I'll have it sorted out by then, at the moment I'm taking it very gently. Even so it's pretty mental (think 370 lb-ft & 340 bhp) and 'a bit of a handful' in this weather. I wonder how on earth people with these 400 bhp monsters cope. Still, it doesn't spin the wheels in every gear or have any obvious handling vices, so more boost is definitely on the cards in future once the bottom end has been sorted. The nice thing about this approach is I can dial in as much torque as I want just by changing the pulley sizes, up to the mechnical strength of the engine and transmission.

The clockwork ignition is still OK for these low boost levels. I've got a couple of irons in the fire as far as mapped ignition goes but I'm not sure which way I'm going yet. One option is a GEMS system which gives me wasted spark ignition.

Thinking about it, the trip to Zolder might be a bit of a problem. I'm getting about 12 mpg on a cruise at the moment giving me a range of just over 100 miles, how far apart are those filling stations?

Obviously need the 'purple shed' modification of a TVR tow bar so you can hitch the Fuel Bowser directly to the engine.

Only 0.3 bar - roughly 6 liters equivalent capacity. More than enough in this weather. I've put 150k miles on this car in NA form on and off track and I'm completely comfortable with it in all conditions, but at the moment it is definitely a matter of getting everything straight and level and then ease the throttle open and see what happens, sometimes it just spins the wheels, other times it feels like you have stepped on superman's cape. Really doesn't help that it is dropping cylinders left right and center at part throttle, pulls nice and clean at full throttle but then you tend to run out of road. At the moment it is a pig to drive, but boy is it good fun!
