Hi everyone,

Over the 2005 Xmas hol's I arranged, with the assistance of Mycroft, the first (and so far, only!) Rutland Rumble. At relatively short notice and on a very cold day the following turned up:
6 S's
3 Chimaeras
2 Tamoras
1 Griffith
3 Tuscans
1 Ultima
1 Aston Martin
1 Hillman (sorry, not too sure what but it looked nice!)
1 Sunbeam

Given the number of comments from S owners on here following events such as the Ashby Folville meets, there are quite a few S owners in the area.

Now that the summer hol's are over and we are all looking forward to the warm Autumn we've been promised, does anyone fancy getting together for some tyre kicking and lunch at a pub, followed by a scenic drive around Rutland?

The area is easy to get to, is fairly central and I've already got a provisional ok from a couple of pubs in the area with decent car parking, one of which I'll choose depending on how many responses there are.

Dates I have in mind are 17/9 or, if that's not convenient for the majority, 1/10. If you're interested please let me know with preferred date asap.

Cheers, Longers

AHA! So this is where you Leicester/Rutland lads are hiding. Hope you allow knackered old Cerberas on your turf ? hehe Seriously though, when are you gonna finalise a date?

censored me! I've got Mrs L, Baby L and now Skinner shouting at me

Apologies for not posting details earlier but have been flat out at work and home!

I've been out and done a quick recce driving and suggest the following.....
Meet at the Castle Inn, Caldecott, on the Rutland border at 12.15 Sunday (on the Rockingham side of Caldecott on the right just before traffic lights / bridge) then at 12.30 head to the Fox & Hounds, Exton to get there for 1.00ish where there's a nice green we can park around. The landlady has confirmed we can turn up and order sarnies on the day, but if anyone wants the full roast it's best to book a table. Their no. is 01572 812403.

After drink & burger & blabla head off for a driving round the northern part of Rutland.

Petclub will be coming from Leicester direction with a couple of S's so if anyone else wants to meet up with him on the way drop him an email.

There a some other TVR's (Chimerbera things or something like that!) from the area and a least one Lotus Elsie coming so hopefully there be a few S owners there to wave the S Club flag aswell wavey

See you on Sunday.
