master cylinder V8S

Hi all, can someone advise me about my V8S brakes. I,m told the master cylinder is same as an RS Turbo escort, it looks the same, also the front discs are RS Turbo but are they MK1 discs or the larger MK2 discs (90 spec)any help would be great. regards Roy

Hi, I can't find the link now, but I found a parts catalogue pdf on RT Racing of Sheffield web site that helped me find one for my S2. If you can't find it, email me and I'll try and dig it out. Dave

Hi,thanks for reply i have since found out that the master cylinder is from an S1 RS turbo and discs from S2 (the larger ones)and are available almost everywhere and cheap as well. I just took the ford part numbers on my parts to the main Ford dealer in sheffield and they told me there and then, I contacted RT racing in sheffield who said they would ring back but they did'nt, Never mind problem solved

Hi happy tohelp. I'm not at all mechanically minded, but we had to replace the slave cylinder as well. Although it looked identical the case was very slightly out and wouldn't fit. We took the new insides and out them into the old case and it worked fine. It may be worth knowing that. Good luck
