confused Aargh! Looking through some previous threads in trying to determine what I need to do next, I am struggling to identify the correct part without having to do a thread juggle/grind out/infill/etc...

Problem: Clutch peddle flat on floor + Master cylinder res empty + pool of clutch fluid in drip tray below = failed slave cylinder.

Debate, is it worth trying to replace seals or just replace slave cylinder? If replacing slave (and not the helpful child version who does a good job of handing over the spanner that I forgot to take under the car with me), where from and what is the correct part for an early 2.9 S3?

The sort of answer I was hoping for - where (and what part number if you have it?) did you obtain said slave?

Off to order some bits. Back to the S-Max rear trailing arms now that those bits arrived. Cheers guys.

Thanks all, slave from 4x4 went in a dream after grinding away the excess casting - feels a tad lighter under the left foot but not a problem.
