shocks info

have got new shocks for my s2 from Avo, but had to seek advice on springs. the bible gives lb/in. front and rear but also states that big differences are to be found between different models and years of manufacture.Avo , after asking about the sizes of my old springs have recomended 300lb/in front and 250lb/in onthe rear.
In the meantime, on the alternative parts list, it shows that tvr gave recomendations for rear springs to stop exhaust bottoming out, and this was given in an article in sprint mag in `98.
can anyone shed some light on this, or even have info from sprint mag available?

thanks steve, I might phone tvr to ask what poundage the yellow springs are, unless anyone knows better?
