Top gear acceleration(s)30-50 mph 7.6 / 40-60 mph 7.6 / 50-70 mph 7.7 / 60-80 mph 8.1 .Thats all i know. yeah but when you have me behind the wheel trying to catch a couple of V8 TVR's and a few tuscans in the convoy down to LeMans I fully expect to better those times

Le Mans 2003 (rather poor video in my profile - not helped by Psychobert filming his socks in the passenger footwell for most of the journey by accident)

Memories of H840 trying desperately to keep up with anything and everything with a british plate heading towards Le Mans.

lol, good lad. Man after my own heart. Picked up the Chimaera from James Agger's house after staying the night (). He's telling me what a beauty it is and never used the fag lighter, never been over 70 blah blah. I headed for the M1 and headed South. Half an hour later I ring him up to tell him I have used the fag lighter 3 times and it pulled well up to 130!

Last time I followed Psycho in your new car down the M1 one of the headlight surrounds fell off and went past me at 90+. I shat myself.

Replaced those matey, and a spare set in the boot just incase they detatch themselves.

Fitted a new swirl pot cap today. and cleaned the idle control valve out, and replaced the indicator, and replaced the bonnet catches, and sorted the tyre pressures out, and secured the bonnet catches, oh and polished it.

It's lovely now.

well it's an odd one really...

I tried for V-Max but I was unaware that if you put the pedal on the floor then the cable stretches and eventually snaps (in short order) so needless to say, I put the pedal to the floor and pushed hard and the damn thing snapped hey ho...I suppose TVR forgot to put a pedal stop in there....

so, since then I haven't got around to fitting any sort of throttle stop (small block of wood attached to pedal with superglue I think...) so i've not managed more than 1.28 leptons...i'm certain it'll do more but I simply daren't press any harder on the throttle lest I stretch it and snap it again!

I've had 135 ON THE CLOCK in mine (*cough* obviously not on the public highway officer). Peddle wasn't in the carpet but conditions were ideal i.e nice dry tarmac. cold ambient temperature and no wind. Did consider going for the magic quoted 140 but as there were obstructions rapidly getting closer I took the safe option and eased off. I am confident it would have got there and was pleased with the run.

p.s. That was very shortly after removing all the baffles from the exhaust, I thought this would hinder performance but doesn't seem to have done.

Carl.

sounds good

I have no silencing at all and I have free flow air filters so I think it's reasonable to assume it might be making near to the original TVR quoted figures

i'll have to get around to fitting that throttle stop
