Hi all today i suffered my first breakdown cry although she was a good girl and did it on the drive smile
Basically i started the car and moved it to where it would be easier to remove the roof, having got the roof of she refused to start. The little diode which usually flashes at a slow rate when parked and speeds up when activated whth the little keyfobby thing has ceased to flash at all.

Im guessing its a bad connection somewhere but ive no idea where to start looking at.It looks like an aftermarket fitment and i have no wiring diagram for it,so i think it might be as well to bypass it

Any ideas chaps, even where to start

Ive checked all fuses i can see and checked everything is tight, also disconnected the battery and left for btwo mins still dead frown

Colin, if you can find out what immobiliser it is I have a friend who runs a car alarm / stereo business, I may be able to get you a diagram if noone on the forum has one.

No online help but could be worth a call on Monday

http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/

I'll ask my friend as well - but won't have anything before Monday, probably later than that.

Well i found the unit tucked well up in the drivers footwell,it appears a tracker was fitted at the same time.

Ive found where they split the feed to the starter motor.I remade that to its original position and she fired first time.biggrin

Anything else i need to do before i rip the rest out ?

cheers

No - but if you are removing the tracker it might be worth doing it carefully - it could have some fleabay value!
