Car happily through again, but with following advisories:

rear near and offside trailing arms corroded but not seriously weakened
nearside and offside front wishbones corroded upper and lower

just wondered what the general 'voice of experience' might recommend to remedy?

Take off - rub down and repaint - front ones is less than a days work - drying time is the main driver - rears take a bit longer

Not wanting to be the "harbinger of doom" but wouldn't be surprised if a small hole or two appear in trailing arms when you set about them !
Took mine of earlier this year, thought they were ok until they came back from being sand blasted, it shows no mercy to dodgey metal ! !

My wishbones need doing as well but there is no way its that quick....nothing is that quick with this car tongue out

Took me 2 weeks to adjust the tappets and paint the rocker covers!

In the end its just as much effort but a far better result to take them off, strip them, then get them shotblasted and powder coated. Shotblasting and powder coating is really cheap if you shop around.

I'd agree, but my front wishbones were in good condition so just needed a quick rub down and recoat using Hamerite Stone chip which seems to work really well given its flexible nature. Trailing arms will be shot blasted though when I do the bushes, hopefully no holes as they've had the rubdown treatment already as an interim and one is actually a replacement
