Hi I'm going to restore the lighting wiring soon and came across these ceramic H4 connectors.

I like the idea of heat tolerance but wondered if anyone had used or heard of them good or bad..?

Cheers

I suppose if the holders got really really hot they may help in some way but there is a fair bit of ventilation around the lights on an S so I would have thought you'd be better off ensuring no water/salt/crap can get up into the connectors.

Never had a prob with standard (plastic ?) ones. if all connections are good shouldn't get that hot unless perhaps intended for "megga bright" bulbs which could maybe produce more heat ???

The only against's I have is that they are brittle and heavier than plastic. At one time all Lampholders where ceramic but even the mains voltage ones have moved on to plastic. Also the postage seems high so there probably isn't even a price advantage there.
