If the car has an alarm fitted then the switch may have been a cut out switch prior to the alarm being fitted.

Has a new switch been fitted for the dashboard light settings? You have 2 settings, dim and dimmer but I don't know if it was fitted on the S1.

My S3 doesn't have this so doubt it was fitted to S1s. Think this was a later addition, I went looking hoping it was set to dim (but to no avail biglaugh)

My s1 had one of these, never worked out what it did, a little toggle switch near the cigerette lighter. The interior lights were dimmed using the central switch.

I also found one of these switches while I was doing my dash.
I have no idea what its for but at a guess it could be to disable the immobiliser or maybe to deactivate the rev limiter?

Not sure, anybody else have any ideas?

I had a push button in the lower part of the steering cowel that didn't seem to do anyting. However, when the lights were on, I found out that it turned the instrument lights on and off. - I think was from S1 and S2's where the lights reflected into the windscreen - Not sure why it is on my S3 though.

Does the alarm have a movement sensor (so if the car is moved / rocked with the alarm on it goes off).
You need to disable it if for example the car is towed (well it is a TVR!).

Thanks all
the alarm has a movement sensor but only works
when it wants to and i have a switch on the dash for
the dash lights, the new fan switch works well and it passed its
mot at the weekend so all is good in TVR land still cant get
the toggle switch to do anything but if it don't work it
cant go wrong can it.
