Hi Norman,
my S2 has the same rev counter as you have currently in yours - don't know whether this helps or confuses more so ?
cheers

Watch the wiring Norman if you recall I was looking for a Rev Counter you sent me one like the one installed in your car and it didn't work in my S3 although I connected the same coloured wires up.
I got a new one (like the S3 one you have) from a guy in Blackpool who had bought several from Bristol Avenue at the factory close down, connected up the same coloured wires & it works fine, seems strange but true maybe S2 & S3 are different

No my car wouldn't start the engine turned over but it wouldn't fire
there was no spark, at all, I checked the wiring diagram & it appears the
rev counter is wired from the coil, so its possible the the rev counters
innards between the S2&S3 are differently wired its odd but then it a TVR.
e.g. I discovered after sorting out the wiring to the headlights etc that
the rear side light offside is wired from/with the front side light nearside &
front offside with the rear side nearside TVR wiring!!!!

Quite a few years ago, I needed a new rev counter from the factory. I was told there were about 3 different versions, all with the same part number. Typical TVR. rolleyes
